FRANK PASKARUK November 11, 1934 - March 11, 2015 It's with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Frank Paskaruk, loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. After battling a lengthy illness, he passed away peacefully with family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Anne Paskaruk, his three brothers, Nick Paskaruk, Alec Paskaruk, Bill Paskaruk and his sister Mary Wishnowski. He is survived by his loving of wife of 60 years, Sylvia, his children, Wayne Paskaruk (Cheryl), Debby Noone (Brendan), Tim Paskaruk, Larry Paskaruk (Kathy), Jim Paskaruk (Abby) and Phillip Paskaruk (Lori), 18 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren whom brought him the most joy to his life as well as many nieces and nephews. When Frank and Sylvia attended social events, they were the life of the party being known for their dancing. Frank's eyes lit up when their favourite Ukrainian songs came on (especially the Interlake Polka Kings); he took Sylvia by the arms and twirled her around the dance floor as though they were one person. During their 50th Wedding Anniversary, the special couple renewed their vows in front of their family and friends. Funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Tuesday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. VICHNAYA PAM'YAT CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

  • Sincere sympathy and prayers go out to the Paskaruk and Rewniak family as they say "so long" to a very special person. Frank always had a smile and a warm greeting whenever we met. A very caring and kind person even though at times we know that he was sick or in pain. We will miss him at the annual church dinners in Poplarfield. Rest in peace, Frank as your family treasures all the wonderful memories made over the years! - Posted by: Gary and Pat Rindall (Friends) on: Mar 16, 2015

  • On behalf of Pauline and myself,And our sons Reece and Kelly and their family, we send our deepest sympathies out to Sylvia, Wayne, Debbie, Tim, Larry, Jimmy and Philip and their families. Your family grew up with our family for the most part. We have so many memories of the weekends Frank, Sylvia and the family spent on the farm, all of the social events they shared with our family, the countless number of dances they attended where my Mom and Dad and the band (Interlake Polka Kings) played. I recall the late Saturday nights mom and dad, Frank and Sylvia would be up playing a very noisy game of cards. If our band was playing for a dance you could count on Frank and Sylvia being the first ones there and the last to leave. There was something very comforting for me about knowing they were at an event we were playing at ......... And I will miss that greatly!!!! "Uncle" Frank was such a good man, he always had a funny story to share, I rarely heard him complain about anything even after his illness, and he approached everything with such a great sense of humour. I see there are over 28 grandchildren and great-grandchildren who should be so very proud of their (great) grandfather. I will miss him greatly and always remember the good times Frank, Sylvia and their family shared with ours. You may be gone, but truly will never be forgotten. Rest in peace. • Uncle Frank was a big part of my childhood and I have told the story of the nickname he gave me to anyone who would listen. I looked forward to watching Wrestling and Chiller Thrillers and playing Wolverton Mountain and Silver Threads over and over weekends at the Paskaruk home. You will be missed Uncle Frank. - Posted by: Patricia Picklyk nee Wishnowski (niece) on: Mar 14, 2015
