EDWARD GRAHAM JACKSON
Date of Passing: Mar 11, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD (TED) GRAHAM JACKSON It is with the greatest of sadness that Ted's family announces the death of their dearly beloved husband, father and grandfather, on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, after a lengthy series of health issues. Left to mourn Ted's passing are his loving wife, Daryl; three dearly beloved sons, Jeffrey (Sharon), Chris (Shannon) and Jon; sister Judy Barth; grandchildren, Jesse, Jay, Taryn and Sarra; as well as a great many friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his younger sister, Jane Oddliefson; mother Patsy; and father Graham. We cannot stress what sadness this has brought to Ted's family and many long-time friends. He had a heart of gold, and one could always count on Ted, regardless of how much pain he carried. Ted had a passion for nature. He loved and fed every wild bird and animal that showed up at his doorstep when he was at his favourite place; his cottage at Star Lake. The deer got to know the sound of Ted's truck, and would follow him when he neared the cottage. Ted was an avid duck hunter, which seems ironic, since he fed them all summer. Being in the marsh was his happy place. In compliance with Ted's wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. It is impossible to say just how very much Ted will be missed. We love you, a great man", Wojcik's Funeral Chapels & Crematorium, 2157 Portage Avenue 204.897.4665, is in care of arrangements. wojciksfuneralchapel.com

Sorry to find out so slowly about the death of my cousin Ted. Our two families were raised only blocks away from each other and we all spent family time together at our Grandfather Jim Jackson and Grandmother Greta Jackson at their beautiful home just down Waterloo St. Great memories! We all headed to Star Lake every summer for quality family time. Ted was the definitely in his happy place. Sorry to lose him and hello and best wishes to all of his direct family, especially good thoughts to Daryl. - Posted by: Jim Boivin (Cousin) on: Sep 17, 2017

Daryl (Mrs Jackson) and boys. I am deeply saddened to hear of Ted's passing. It has been a long time since we were neighbours on Deloraine and I was your go to baby sitter. I will always remember how kind (Ted) Mr Jackson and yourselves were to me. He was always happy and smiling. My heartfelt condolences. May you cherish your memories forever in your hearts. Jon and Family, so very sorry to hear about your dad's passing. It's times like this when we reflect on the past. It made me realize how much patience and a good heart your dad had for putting up with some of the crazy things we did growing up. Take care. Our thoughts are with you and your family. - Posted by: Ryan and Michelle Galbraith (Friends) on: Mar 31, 2015

Daryl. We were sad to hear the news about Ted yesterday. We have fond memories of being next door neighbours to three generations of the Jacksons at Star Lake for over forty years. Ted loved the lake and went there whenever he could, even when his health was deteriorating. Our boys loved to swap fishing stories with Ted whenever possible. Those memories will be with us for all time. Our boys join us in expressing our sincere condolences to you and your family at this time. Sincerely, Murray, Catherine and Boys - Posted by: Murray, Catherine and Family (Lake Neighbours) on: Mar 27, 2015

Daryl, Jeff, Chris and Jon So sorry to learn of the passing of my great friend of 61 years. We met in grade 4 at Carpathia School and hardly skipped a beat in the last 60 years. Ted was my best man at my wedding in '65 and he and Daryl were godparents to my eldest daughter, Kim. A few of us friends met to toast and talk about our experiences with this funny, witty, loyal friend, and he KEPT US IN STITCHES AGAIN!!! Gonna miss you, Buddy, and Daryl, you know we're here for you and your family. - Posted by: Bob Smith and Family (life long friend) on: Mar 19, 2015

Ted was a great guy; spent a few weekends at his family cottage at Star Lake. I left Winnipeg in 1973. I saw Ted once since then at one of the crescentwood community club reunions. RIP - Posted by: Ken White (friend from the late 60s) on: Mar 14, 2015
