Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR (ART) JOSEPH MAYER October 12, 1921 - March 2, 2015 Peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2015 Art died at the Grace Hospice in Winnipeg, at the age of 93 years. Art is survived by his four sisters, Florence, Melina, Lillian, and Marie; brother-in-law, Rodney Blue as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Ruth; parents Angelina and Louie; brothers, Henry, Leo, Nelson, Ralph, Philip, Marcel, Raymond, and Gilbert; and sisters, Irene and Jane. Together, Art and Ruth enjoyed many trips together. They travelled to the Black Hills, Arizona, Montreal, Nova Scotia and Alaska just to mention a few. Art enjoyed hunting, curling, bowling and shuffleboard. He was a member of A.N.V.E.T.S 283 for 45 years. Art loved going on the Casino trips with "the gang", Norma, Joan and Shirley. They took such great care of him. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. A very special thank you to the staff at the Grace Hospice for the loving care they gave Art.
