I am a grand daughter of Joe DeBeer of Minnesota. He passed away several years ago but I was with him holding his hand. I know his sister's name was Brenda and he talked of her often. All I have to do is look at the picture of Johannas and know we are the same DeBeer family. He looks like Focco (his nickname) who lives in Europe and was a cousin of my late father Robert Johannas DeBeer. Please accept my sincere condolences. From the obituary I can tell he is a DeBeer. My grandfather, Joe DeBeer, also was extremely helpful in his non-sighted community since he was blind most of his life and dedicated a lion's share of his energies to help and mentor other non-sighted individuals. The apple stayed very close to the tree. What an honor to be related to such wonderful individuals. Julie DeBeer - Posted by: Julie DeBeer (Not sure of our relationship) on: Dec 24, 2016
