HELGE GUSTAF ODER On March 13, 2015 at Deer Lodge, Helge passed away peacefully in his bed. He was born September 19, 1921. He was predeceased by his wife Aileen, sister Jenny and brother Carl. He leaves to mourn his passing, nieces Marlene and Dorothy and nephew Art, also numerous nieces, nephew and extended family. Helge was raised in Brookfield, MB. He joined the navy and served on a mine sweeper in the North Atlantic for two years. When he returned home he married his sweetheart Aileen Small. They lived on Valour Road for many years. Helge worked for Dominion Bridge until his retirement. He was a member of the Scandinavian Club and Canadian Legion. He loved to play cards and dance and occasional drink of rum! Rest in Peace Helge. We will miss you. Funeral services will be held in Lac Du Bonnet, MB at St. John Anglican Church on March 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Deer Lodge.
