Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryC. DONOHOE PRUDEN With great sadness we announce the passing of Don, Tuesday March 17, 2015, at the age of 74. He is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 53 years, Pat. Don is the loving father of Troy (Heather) and Jason (Sheri), proud grandfather of Scott, Amber, Tyler and Ryan. Dear brother of Lynn, Ken (Roberta), June Ann (Jeff); sisters-in-law Barbara and Connie (Doug). He also has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Don was predeceased by his father Charles; mother Maureen; brother Peter; brother-in-law Bill; mother-in-law Jean and father-in-law Curtis Willis. He was born and raised in Petersfield where he lived and worked on the family farm with his parents. His life and job brought him to Selkirk where he and Pat raised their family. Don was an active Kiwanis member where he participated in fundraising for the construction of the Selkirk Recreation Complex. He was also a long time member of the Selkirk Legion Branch #42. Throughout their lives, Don and Pat travelled to many places. During their retirement, they spent many fun filled winters in Mexico. Family was always important to Don and he was very proud and ready to lend a helping hand to his sons in their life and business endeavors. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Selkirk E.M.S. and R.C.M.P. for their care. A celebration of Don's life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. The times we spent in Mexico with Don, Pat, June Ann and Jeff were very special times. He was a quiet, sincere, friendly person - someone you felt comfortable and relaxed to be around.
