MAUREEN DONNELLY (nee THOMPSON) August 24, 1943 - March 7, 2015 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Maureen Donnelly on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, BC. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years Bob, her daughter Lorraine in Surrey, BC, son Craig (Rina) in Winnipeg, and her three beautiful grandchildren Hannah, Sarah and Erin. She will also be missed by other family members and many friends in Winnipeg and White Rock/Surrey, BC. She was predeceased by her parents Wes and Jean Thompson and her brother Bruce. Maureen was born in Portage La Prairie on August 24, 1943 but spent most of her life in Winnipeg attending Earl Grey School and Kelvin High School. Maureen's first job was at Great West Life Assurance Company where she met Bob. When the children were born Maureen enjoyed being a stay at home mother until she returned to work at the Court of Queen's Bench. She retired when the family moved to South Surrey, BC in 1994. As was her wish, cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date. The family are planning to hold a Celebration of Life in Winnipeg in May and invite friends to attend.
