My parents, Agnes & Martin Wizleben, were neighbors of Jack & Alice. I was a very young child at the time but have so many fond memories of Onkel Jack & Tante Alice. I remember popping by for visits and Tante Alice always having time for me and usually a treat of some kind. She also gave me a beautiful blue crinoline head piece with sparkles on it, that I could wear to play dress up.I was so pleased when she came to our wedding in 1983. We kept in touch all these years via Christmas cards except the last 2, when my own health took a critical turn and my mom died in 2014. In fact I wrote Tante Alice one last card just over a month ago. I will always remember the kindness, warmth and patience she had for me. She was a wonderful lady and had such a positive impact on so many lives, I know she did on mine. She will be missed. - Posted by: Cindy Graham (nee Witzleben) (neighbor on Greenwich Bay) on: Apr 03, 2015

John, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Aunt Alice will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She ran a great race for almost 93 years and is now up in heaven with your dad, sister and some of her family. She was a very special woman and will live on in each of our hearts. Love and hugs to you all. - Posted by: Jacquelyn Taylor (Cousin ) on: Mar 23, 2015
