LAWRENCE HUSIAK We regret to say that our father and gigi, Lawrence Husiak succumbed to his battle with cancer on March 20, 2015. Dad is survived by his wife Joanne, children Jason and Tanya, granddaughter Marisa, son-in-law Kevin, sister Anne, Clark and Blake, nephews Jim and Bobby, and nieces Aileen and Betty. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Kathryn, brothers Roy, Bill and Harry, sisters Marie and Polly, brothers-in-law Felix, Clarence and Oscar, and sister-in-law Rosie. Dad grew up in the Interlake community of Poplarfield and spent his adult life in Winnipeg. He never forgot his roots in that part of Manitoba and frequently visited friends and family still living there. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing in the area with his friends and son. Dad graduated from Tec Voc High School and the Manitoba Institute of Technology, and then worked for Lee Burn Electric and Acklands Ltd. He had many good colleagues and friends as a salesman for these companies. Dad managed and coached hockey and was a charitable canvasser and Neighborhood Watch Block Captain. He loved movies, old time country music, comedy and reality shows on television, and working on Jumble puzzles in the daily paper. He also loved his pets Scamp and Pepsi, of whom he took great care until their final days. In later years, Dad liked to tinker in his garage, help neighbors, and go for breakfasts and lunches with his buddies. We would like to thank family, friends and neighbors for their support in this time. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We would also like to thank CancerCare Manitoba, and third floor staff at Riverview Health Centre, and our neighbour, retired nurse Keltie Phillips, their outstanding professionalism and sympathetic care in helping our father and mother. As per Dad's wishes, there will be no ceremony or funeral. Dad was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed and forever in our memories. Lawrence I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, my baby brother, you will always be Sis Annie.
