SANTINA (SIRAGUSA) INGRILLI November 11, 1934 - March 22, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Santina Ingrilli on March 22, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Besides her husband, Joseph, she is survived by her children, Frank (Jacqueline), Anna (Elvis), Antoniette, Rosa and Tony (Tamara). Grandchildren Joseph (Rocio), Jordan (Nadine), Alicia (Ben), Connor, Matthew, Amanda, Sienna and Santiago. She also leaves to mourn her passing, brothers Frank (Carmella), Tony (Claudia), sisters Maria (Sam), Angela (Tony), sister-in-law Brigitte, brother-in-law Rosario (Sila). As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Waiting for Santina in heaven are her parents Agostino and Rosa Siragusa, her sister, Giovanna Rinella and brother, Joe Siragusa. Santina was born in Termini Imerese, Sicily, growing up helping her mother raise her younger siblings. Santina immigrated to Canada in 1955 to marry her beloved Joseph. Together they built a life in Canada and raised their five children. Santina was a homemaker by day and worked as a custodian aide in the evenings before retiring from Maple Leaf School, where not only was she a custodian but where she also enjoyed helping the teachers and young students with numerous crafts. Santina was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother but she also found time to volunteer with the Catholic Women's League and Folklorama for many years. Santina was also famous for her lasagna and authentic Sicilian cookies for special occasions. Up until her passing Santina remembered everyone who visited her. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on Ward 3E Concordia Hospital for their exceptional, compassionate care during Santina's final hospital stay. On Saturday, March 28, 2015, viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, Winnipeg, with Rev. Father Sam Argenziano as Celebrant. Entombment to follow at Assumption Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Avenue. During the season of Lent flowers are declined.
