ROY DUMORE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Dumore on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Health Sciences Centre, after a lengthy illness. He was 78 years of age. Roy was born on July 12, 1936, in Saskatchewan. He grew up in Gunton, MB attending school in Gunton and then in Transcona. Roy enjoyed an extensive career as a tinsmith with Noad Ventilation and was highly regarded for his loyalty and dedication to his work. Roy's passions in life included his love for music and he played and entertained with various bands in his early years. He also enjoyed working on cars, taking trips to the country and over the last several years, caring for his much adored cats, Chico and Minnie. Roy was a kind-hearted man, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. With his own special brand of humour, he always made us laugh, as Roy could unfailingly be counted on for having a good joke for everyone! All this, but above all, Roy was a devoted husband and father, who truly cherished and appreciated every moment he shared with all his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Roy is survived by his wife, Anne, son David, granddaughter Amanda, sisters Louise (Peter) and Doris, and sister-in-law Sheila. Also, sisters-in-law Geraldine (Raymond), Lena (Larry), Caroline (Robert), and May (Steve), brothers-in-law Marcel (Theresa), and Morris, and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you is extended to nephew Ken, sisters Louise and Doris, and good friend and neighbour Murdo, for their unconditional love and kindness, care and friendship to Roy throughout the years. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Breath of Life Church in Winnipeg, 758 Selkirk Avenue, at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015. Burial will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations can be made in Roy's memory to Papa's Equine Ranch, Box 291, Selkirk, Manitoba, R1A 2B2.
