THEODOR ALLEN SIEMENS
Born: Dec 25, 1944
Date of Passing: Mar 27, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHEODOR ALLEN SIEMENS After a year-long struggle with cholangiocarcinoma, Theodor Allen Siemens died in the early hours of Friday, March 27, 2015. Theo (Ted) was born in Crystal City, Manitoba, Canada on December 25, 1944. The fourth of seven children, he grew up on farms in rural Manitoba. At 19, he left for the city of Winnipeg, where he met his wife of 46 years, Lynn (née Schneider), and successfully established himself in business. Together they had three sons and set up a happy home at which countless people were welcome. In 2002 Theo and Lynn moved to England, where they embraced their new life. A man of immensely happy and generous disposition, his love for his family, his friends, his church and the wider community was in constant evidence. His personal warmth and his sense of humour were remarked upon by everyone who encountered him. He is survived by his wife Lynn, his sons Trevor (Krista), James (Kimberly), and Derek (Gisele), his 17 grandchildren, and a large extended family. He will be sorely missed. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Anselm's Roman Catholic Church in Whitworth on Wednesday, April 8 at 11:30 a.m., and interment at Whitworth Cemetery, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Springhill Hospice, Rochdale. http://springhill.org.uk/donations/index.html

We moved to Dohaney Cres (Crestview Village) when it was just being developed. Most of the young families became friends and I felt fortunate to have shared the neighbourhood with Lynn and Ted. I always admired their dedication to family. I can remember Lynn and Ted walking by our house hand in hand on the warm summer evenings. They were so obviously in love and unafraid to demonstrate their love. Lynn, Trevor, James and Derek...my most sincere condolences on your loss. Ted was truly a wonderful man with a smile and a personality that lit up the neighbourhood. Our world was forever changed because Ted was part of it. ~Val & Cory~ - Posted by: Val Bishop (Krentz) (Friend ) on: Jul 11, 2015

We were all new to Dohaney Crescent and Crestview Village when we moved there in '72. You couldn't have asked for a better neighbourhood. Our children were all around the same age, and as a parent you felt so comfortable letting them go to each other's homes. Ted, Lynn and the boys were fantastic, with the greatest smiles and the personality to go with it. We moved away first, and to much regret, did not stay in touch. We did think of you often, with little memories here and there - and now at this time you are in our thoughts and prayers. We pray that all the loving and happy memories help you thru this very sad time. Love Tom and Sharon - Posted by: Sharon and Tom Trosky (Friends ) on: Apr 07, 2015

As the youngest of the family of 7, I missed getting to know Theo early on since he was 14 years my elder and left home when I was 5. We've had brief encounters over the years and connected before they moved to England. Emails have kept us in touch until our visit to Rochdale in spring of 2013. It is with deep gratitude that we spent a few glorious days with Theo and Lynn getting to experience lifetime memories with them. Thank you Theo for giving us the chance to know you for who you really were; fun, loving, caring, interested in others and gracious. We are so sorry to have lost you so soon and will miss you very much, but have a special place in our hearts for you. We extend our sincerest sympathies to you Lynn, to you Trevor, James and Derek and to your families. - Posted by: Sheila McIntosh (sister) on: Apr 06, 2015

My condolences to all the families of Uncle Ted. I recall most of all how much he loved his "Lynnie" and never too shy to say so. His thunderous laughter and always welcoming smile. So happy to hear he enjoyed a large family of Grandchildren. To the Poole Family; I hope you are all well and life is kind to you. Til you meet again. - Posted by: Tannis (Friend) on: Apr 06, 2015

I was the second of Theodor's 5 brothers and 1 sister.Theodor, or Ted, as we called him, brother Lorne and myself were very close in age and worked together on the family farm, looking after the livestock, seeding, haying and harvesting. After school, we went our separate ways and did not see much of each other as we lived in different parts of the country, He will be missed and we offer our condolences to his family and wife Lynne. - Posted by: Leonard Siemens (Brother) on: Apr 05, 2015
