LINDA CAROL ENNS (nee LIGGETT) 1944 - 2015 Linda Carol Enns (nee Liggett) was born to Harold and Florence (Emerson) Liggett on July 21, 1944. She grew up in Winnipeg, completing training to become a teacher as well as a B.A. from the University of Manitoba (1969). She taught in Winnipeg for three years in the St. James School Division. Linda met her husband, Murray and they were married in 1968. Together they adopted two children. The family lived in Winkler where Linda enjoyed substitute teaching, raising their children and supporting Murray as he operated a grain farm. Linda was passionate about music. She participated in numerous choral groups throughout her life and supported the development of young musicians through local band and choral music festivals. In 2003, Linda was diagnosed with lymphoma but went into remission in 2008. She went on to enjoy a number of years of good health, traveling, time with her children and grandchildren, and continued involvement in the music community. Cancer returned in 2013 and although she was determined to fight and survive as she had done before, it eventually claimed her life. Linda Carol Enns passed away at Boundary Trails Health Centre on Tuesday March 31, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband in 2002. She is survived by her son, David, daughter, Lisa, son-in-law, Martin, grandchildren, Tabitha and Delaney and her much loved cat, Penny. • My condolences to you. It was a great privilege to work with Linda. We were also distant neighbours in Kronsgart. We also went through chemo together. She will be missed! - Posted by: Marge Penner (Friend - we worked together with Winkler Festival of the Arts) on: Apr 07, 2016
