Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMADELIENE DEVOS (MUYS) Madeliene was born on August 31, 1926 one of ten children to Irma and Gustaaf Muys. She passed away peacefully March 27, 2015 at Golden Links Lodge. Madeliene was predeceased by husband Robert, her sons Randall (Louise) and Ronald (Debbie), her parents, and by siblings Godelieve, Charlie, Marie, Cyril, and Irene. Cherishing our memory of her are her daughter Roberta (Bruce Elsholz), son Rodney (Gina), daughter-in-laws Debbie DeVos and Louise Wladyka, grandchildren Nicholas, Holly, Ainslee, Jenna, and Colton, and great-grandchild Desmond along with her surviving siblings Margaret, George, Eddie, and Bertha and numerous nieces and nephews. Madeliene grew up in Fort Whyte and along with her family members she worked hard on the daily tasks of the family farm. She met Robert and they were married in 1949. Madeliene and Robert continued to live in Fort Whyte and in 1960 settled down on their own dairy farm in La Salle. Madeliene loved to jest and make people laugh. She and Robert enjoyed travelling to many locations with Hawaii being a special place for them. She also enjoyed camping and was a member of the Winnipeg Wandering Wheels trailer club. Madeliene and Robert loved to dance. Later in life Madeliene became more subdued but still enjoyed the activities offered to her at Golden Links Lodge. The family would like to thank the caring people that supported Madeliene including Dr. Sheldon Permack, the staff at Victoria General Hospital, Poseidon Care Home, and Golden Links Lodge. Thank you especially to Gloria and Sandy from Comforts of Home Care who made her last months more comfortable and enjoyable. As per Madeliene's wishes there will only be a private service. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or Alzheimer's Society or charity of your choice would be much appreciated. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715
