Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETH DOREEN DELMONICO December 5, 1922 - March 25, 2015 Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, with family at her side, Beth Doreen Delmonico (nee Phillips) passed away at the age of 92. Beth will be very lovingly remembered by her dedicated husband of 68 years, Alfred; her daughters, Terri Andrechuk (Don), Denise Delmonico, Janice Delmonico Gibson; her son Perry Delmonico; grandchildren Tara Penner (Neil), Kevin Andrechuk (Toby), Landon Delmonico Gibson (Ian Scott), Lane Delmonico Gibson, Lauren Delmonico Gibson, Liam Delmonico Gibson; and great-grandchildren Nikolaus, Joseph, Xenia and John Penner. Also remaining to cherish her memory are extended family and friends in Vancouver and Winnipeg. Beth was born in Winnipeg on December 5, 1922. She married her life partner, Alfred on September 4, 1946. They enjoyed a life where family was always first. They loved to cook together and readily welcomed friends to join in on family gatherings. They believed in hard work, embracing others and positive thinking. During the Second World War, Beth wore extra clothing in order to meet the minimum weight requirement to work at McDonald Aircraft and thus, in her own way, contribute to Canada's war efforts. Beth was a dedicated wife, mother and nana. She particularly enjoyed baking, dancing and rowing. She was an incredibly fast and proficient reader. Beth loved the blue waters of Hawaii where she and her husband spent many winters together. She took great pride in her family and her positive, caring manner was a constant inspiration to those around her. Beth was an elegant, dignified woman who demonstrated great strength and surmounted many challenges in life with admirable grace and courage. The family wishes to thank the dedicated and passionate staff of 5B and Doctor Sandeep Bhango at Saint Boniface Hospital for their attentive care of our loved one over the last few months. A private family memorial service will follow at Chapel Lawn. We love you sweet Beth. We will hold you in our hearts and continue to feel your presence as we walk along the paths of life.

My heartfelt condolences to Mr. Delmonico and Terry, Denice, Janice and Perry and your families. I was 16 (now 57) when I first met Mrs. Delmonico. She always insisted I call her Betty although I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I went out with her son Perry for 4 years and we were engaged for a short while. Mrs. Delmonico accepted me into the fold, was intrinsically welcoming and always ready with a funny, lighthearted comment. I sincerely wish her nearest and dearest family and friends love and comfort. I only just learned of her passing and regardless of the passing years since my involvement with your family, I feel compelled to pay my respects to such a wonderful woman. - Posted by: Marie Goddard (Bryan) (Friend) on: Jul 21, 2018
