URSULA BUIKE It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ursula Buike on April 1, 2015 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 66. Ursula will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Manfred, along with her two sons, Rodney (Lisa) and Jason (Tansey). She will also be missed by her brother Hans Spitzer (Inge) and sisters-in-law Rose and Monika (Abe); along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. Ursula was born in Munich, Germany and came to Canada when she was 18. She met and married Manfred and had two sons. They began their married lives together in Willow Park, close to their family where they shared many fond memories. They moved to Oakbank, Manitoba where Ursula and Manfred raised their children and built many close friendships. Ursula enjoyed spending time in their backyard pool, skiing, cycling, golfing and travelling to their favourite vacation spot - Hawaii. Her final years were spent in Lockport, Manitoba where she enjoyed condo living, especially spending time with her friends on the deck in the summer. Throughout the years, Ursula got great joy from the many cats that were a part of their family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11 at 10:00 am at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, Highway 1 East Navin Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Memorial donations may be made to Seven Oaks General Hospital Foundation Kidney Health Clinic. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com

Jason, Rodney and Manfred. I just recently heard of the passing of Ursula and I was deeply sadden by the news. We moved on to Juniper street in '86 and we we're welcomed immediately by the Buike family. Ursula loved her time by the pool. Skateboarding and basketball were always welcome in the driveway... You will be missed. - Posted by: Kevin Martel (Neighbour) on: Nov 11, 2016

Dear Manfred, Rodney & Jason. Our sincere sympathy to you in your loss. We knew you and Ursula for so many years. Those old Willow Park days! I am not able to attend the funeral, but may get your Lockport address from Marvin (via Gord or Ron) Those boys still keep in touch. Has Rose been able to come? I have lost touch with her, too. It is with a very heavy heart that I send you my condolences. She was a very good friend to me. We spent many hours by the pool. With always something to chat about. I'm sorry I can't be there but please know my thoughts are with you and the boys. As always Gwen - Posted by: Gwen Sokal () on: Apr 07, 2015
