ROGER MCIVOR Peacefully with family by his side, on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the Portage District General Hospital, Roger McIvor, beloved husband of Faye McIvor, passed away at the age of 78 years. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Haywood Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Churchyard Cemetery. Roger was born on June 16, 1936, son of Irene and Tom McIvor at Carmen, MB. He was raised and received his education in the Haywood District. On April 24, 1965, he married Faye Orchyk, they resided in Winnipeg for a short time before making their home in Elm Creek. Member of the Roman Catholic Church in Elm Creek. He enjoyed camping and being with family. Roger loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, one grandson Nicholas, six brothers, one sister. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Faye of Elm Creek; two sons, Danny (Gail), Tony (Glenda); two daughters, Elisa (Kevin), Charlene, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, John (Agnes), George (Val); four sisters, Helen, Elsie, Diane, Annette, as well as many nieces and nephews. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba, 105-500 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 3X1.
