BARBARA JOAN MILLER Barb was born October 20, 1955 in Calgary and was predeceased by her parents, John and Noreen Kayter. Left to cherish her loving memory are her husband and superhero Evel Dave Radey; parents-in-law and neighbours, Richard and Wilma Radey, (Paul); sons, Jared Miller, (Bojana), Jason Miller; granddaughter Marina; sisters, Faye Kayter and Donna Harvey (Jim), of Calgary, Cathy Kayter (Jim) of BC, many nieces, nephews and extended family, and enough friends to fill the MTS Centre. Barb made an instant impression on everyone she met. She was both sociable and easy to love and was the go-to friend to so many in times of both joy and crisis. Barb loved life and lived it to the fullest. She could make you "laugh your ass off". Her home was spotless, she was forever dusting and vacuuming and always had a cup of coffee and a hilarious tale for her many friends who stopped in to visit. Barb loved her country life and spent many nights laughing and singing along around the bonfire. Barb had many friends at Costco, where she worked for more than 20 years. Those friends extended well beyond her fellow employees, many customers will remember her wit and charm. She loved her jewellry, candles, books, shopping, bingo, and playing Keno with her friends at Gaffer's in Lockport. Barb's granddaughter Marina was the light of her life. They shared many exciting and new adventures together. With Marina at her side Barb assumed the role of Bubby, the happiest grandmother on Earth. Special thank-you goes to Dr. Greg Wilson and his office staff, (Linda, Janelle), and Barb's dear friends, Melanie and Leah, who supported her as she battled the demon that is cancer. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to make a donation in Barb's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Cremation has taken place. As per Barb's wishes, there will be no formal funeral. A celebration of her life begins this evening at 7:00 p.m. at Dave and Barb's home in Springfield. Look for the fire, and the fireworks. We know you are still here with us Barb, today and forever.
