Thelma (Toots) Lorena Sagnes (nee Mark) July 22, 1930 - April 4, 2014 Thelma Sagnes, 83 years, passed away on April 4, 2014, at Fisher Personal Care Home, Fisher Branch, MB. Cherishing her memory are her six children: Lorena (Ray) Reimer, James (Sharon), Beth (John) Mann, Del (Carla), Doug (Michelle) and Murray (Julie). She is remembered by her nine grandchildren: Tracy, Tara, Debbie, Sara-Jane, Jenni-Lee, Nicholas, Kennan, Shea and Miley. She was blessed with 12 great grandchildren: Macy, Colin, Matthew, Owen, Liam, Lucy, Kasia, Merrek, Nevaeh, Zenadia, Sierra (deceased) and Zak. She is survived by brothers Elmer and Robert (Bob). "Toots" was preceded by her parents Marjorie and Delmar (Jake) Mark of Waskada, MB., her brothers Roy, Morley, Jack and her children's father Raymond. Born and raised in Waskada, MB, she met and married Raymond in Brandon, MB. Over the years she lived in a number of Alberta and Manitoba cities including Forrest, Steinbach, Winnipeg, Deloraine and Fisher Branch. She was active including taking her first airplane ride at 65 years old and later she and Beth undertook a road trip to New Jersey to visit Del. She enjoyed numerous driving trips to Winnipeg to visit friends and family. Knitting was her passion. She always had something in the making whether it was slippers, toques, hats, mitts, scarves, baby outfits or blankets. Everyone looked forward to their yearly package. Mom maintained her independence until health issues required stays in Deloraine Hospital, Westview Lodge in Boissevain and Fisher Personal Care Home in Fisher Branch, MB. A heartfelt! thanks is given for exemplary care, compassion and support Mom received over the years. Abiding her wishes, cremation and interment was at Waskada Cemetery.
