Casper was born November 8, 1934 in Grenada. He immigrated to the UK in the 1950s. He sent for all of his siblings to join him in England. Years later he immigrated to Canada. Casper as former Honorary Counsel for Grenada, a representative in Canada, fully gave of himself, to help his community here in Canada and abroad. His tireless effort to give back to the community was admired by many. He raised funds for hurricane relief, donations for hospitals, schools, associations, to helping individual citizens, Casper was a man who cared. Casper always put family first, this formed the level of commitment family demonstrated towards him and towards others in their lives, that family comes first. Casper was the backbone and light for his family and friends. His selfless acts and compassion was common place. He is now on his final journey home. May God bless and reward him for his kindness. He was preceded in death by parents George and Isabella. Casper's heart has always been in Grenada, his place of birth, and for years he asked his immediate and extended family to follow his instructions to take him home. Out of love and respect for our father, family members and friends intend to honour his wish. Services will be held at Christ The King Anglican Church in Carriacou, Grenada, on June 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. When I was researching my carriacou roots I had the pleasant opportunity to speak with Cousin Casper a number of times by phone. He was always happy to hear from me and as has been mentioned Grenada was always in his heart and we had spoken about starting a project to preserve Grenada's archives but that never happened. My sympathy goes out to your immediate family. Sincerely, Philip Thorne Facebook page Shade Family Carriacou - Posted by: Philip Thorne (Relative) on: Aug 13, 2015

Cas was not a friend, Cas was my brother. We enjoyed such good times together. Grenada was always close to his heart. When he came home, we spent lots of good times together. He was a pillar of strength to the Caribbean community. My wife Ann remembers all the support he gave to mobilize supplies for the Grenada Hospital. My friend you have gone on beyond the moon. May God grant you eternal rest. Your friend Lennox Griffith & wife Ann - Posted by: Lennox Griffith (Close friend ) on: Apr 12, 2015

Cass was a good man who really cared about the people of Grenada and people in general. I remember the old days and parties at his house, in fact I was there when we heard the news of the coup in Grenada. It was a shocking and sad time for many of us who supported the goals of the revolution in Grenada. Cass will be remembered with affection by many people and my condolences go to his family. ............. Sincerely, Linda Taylor, Winnipeg - Posted by: Linda Taylor (Friend ) on: Apr 12, 2015

Worked with Cas for only a few years at MTS when I first moved to Winnipeg in 1986. He was a real leader in our group and always a very nice man. So sorry to hear of his passing. I know he always intended to return to Grenada (maybe not in this way) but I'm sure he will rest in peace in his country of birth. - Posted by: Brenda Martin Strutt (Friend and former co-worker at Manitoba Telephone System in Winnipeg, Manitoba.) on: Apr 11, 2015
