JEFFERY NEIL GRYTE August 11, 1949 - March 30, 2015 It is with sad hearts but wonderful memories that our family announces the sudden passing of Jeff, at the age of 65, in the comfort of his home. Left to honour his memory are his mother Elizabeth, sisters Linda, Carlene (Michael) and Ingrid (David), his precious daughter Sheri-Lynne (Chris) and grandchildren Sean, Ryan, Sarah, Joshua and Grace, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by stepdaughters Shannon and Tracy. He was predeceased by his father Douglas. Jeff had a lifelong career in the automotive industry where he made many friends with co-workers and clients. His passion for classic cars meant he could be found most Sundays at the Pony Corral with his good friends. In his limited free time, Jeff enjoyed restoring and detailing cars and reading about world history. He also took time to be a host father for international students and was very happy when he had the chance to visit Andres and his family in Mexico. He had a lifelong affair with chocolate and peanuts, pizza and beer and Sailor Jerry. Jeff was always willing to lend a hand by helping his family and friends. Jeff had many good neighbours who were always happy to spend time with him. His garage became the local hangout for friends, drinks, music, laughter and even work. At this difficult time, we are grateful for his friends and especially for the assistance and compassion of Chris. Jeff led a very private personal life and in keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on April 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at The Pony Corral, Grant Avenue at Wilton Street. "I will always remember your heartfelt laughter Dad. It is a sound I will cherish through the years. Forever loved, never forgotten. Until we meet again, Love Sheri-Lynne" A Life that touches others goes on Forever Online condolences may be sent to www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com

  • So sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. I saw him off and on through the trucking industry and always had a quick laugh. We were related through my grandmother and his mother. You lose touch over the years but never forget the memories. My sincere condolences to his sisters, mother and his entire family cuz it sounds like he had a lot of people around him who loved him. RIP Jeffrey. - Posted by: Jeff lewis (Relative) on: Apr 21, 2015

  • My deepest condolences to Jeff's family and friends during this difficult time. Jeff, your legacy of helping those whenever you could often putting yourself second. Not to mention how often you spoke of your family and to notably see your eyes light up when speaking of them. Your chatter about the cars you may have been in the midst of repair, detailing and or rebuilding will be missed. Rest well and party on in your garage in the sky.
