EARL PITCH Husband, father, zaida, uncle, son, brother and friend to all, Earl Pitch passed away peacefully at age 82, on March 13, 2015. Raised in Roland, Manitoba, he graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1957 with a degree in Chartered Accountancy. In 1948 he met his love, Sylvia (Tsipie) Kemel. They began a life together that lasted 67 years and produced three children: Randi, Allen and Howard (Nancy); and five grandchildren: Sophie, William, Geoffrey, Ariel and Eitan, each of whom he lovingly referred to as his "Numero Uno." Always a big dreamer, he moved his family to Beverly Hills, California in 1968 to become a partner in a convalescent hospital ownership group. He also had a brief stint in the entertainment business. In 1979 he returned to Winnipeg with his family where he began a lengthy career as a financial advisor. His advice went beyond financial, where his clients sought his wise counsel in all of life's matters. He was known for his kind heart, his silly sense of humor and his gift for making people feel special...he knew no strangers. Earl was a passionate Zionist, a determined fundraiser and never turned down a request to give to numerous charities. He served on the Jewish National Fund Manitoba/Saskatchewan board since 1985 and as President from 1994-1995. He also served as National Director of the JNF Canada from 1985 - 1987 and was on the board of governors in 1988. He leaves behind his wife, children and grandchildren, his sister Sheila Rabb (David) and sister in law Saundra Shapiro (Hart), and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends. We will miss him.
