• So sad to hear the incredibly sad news. Donna was a bright light and central to all activity in the office at ICG. Her effervescent personality was contagious and it's going to be the thing we all miss the most. • Whenever I was in Canada and wanted to visit Winnipeg people would ask "why on earth do you want to go to Winnipeg"? Simple really, it was to see Donna and Jim and hang out and enjoy laughter and guitar and a few wines over some old memories from Europe and some new ones from Winnipeg. Farewell my wonderful friend. • I cannot tell you how shocked and saddened I am from hearing the news of Donna's passing. She was a huge part of my younger life and we had the opportunity to reconnect a few years back. She touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed. Although she had her struggles she was a woman of distinction. • Donna was such a wonderful and positive person. She always had a big smile on her face and a hearty laugh. I'll never forget the first week of law school when we helped each other study things neither of us understood. Years later we met up on Corfu when I was backpacking and Donna was on a Kontiki tour. Lots of Greek wine and lots of laughs and stories were shared that day. Donna we lost touch over the years and I am so sad about that. • What I remember most about Donna was her sharp wit and even sharper tongue. That girl didn't suffer fools gladly (except you Rob). Carol Friesen-Smith messaged me this morning with the news. • Donna was a complex, extremely intelligent, and gifted woman. She gave generously to the community and to her friends and family. I've never met such a strong, yet sweetly vulnerable person. Donna never liked having her picture taken, but I never understood why, given she was so Beautiful. Rest in peace Donna. I have so many memories of road trips we took and of all the laughs we had! She is one of those people that you never forget.
