OI LAN DONG (nee NG) On Thursday, April 9, 2015 Oi Lan Dong passed away peacefully at Poseidon Care Center in Winnipeg at the age of 91 years. Left to greatly miss Oi Lan will be her two sons, Wayne Dong (Theresa) and Albert Dong (Thi Mui); six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Oi Lan was born in Toishan, China and immigrated to Canada in 1964. She made Winnipeg her home and worked as a seamstress for 20 years. For the past two years, she lived at Poseidon Care Center and her family would like to thank the staff for their excellent care. Oi Lan's family will always remember her for her sharp mind, fierce determination and indomitable spirit. On Monday, April 13, 2015 Oi Lan's Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue @ Sharp Boulevard, Winnipeg. For those who wish, viewing will be held prior to the Service. Her final resting place will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
