AARON LOUIS (LARRY) COHEN March 20, 1930 - March 12, 2015 Larry passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Simkin Centre, March 12, just shy of his 85th birthday. Predeceased by his wife Bernice and son Kerry, he is survived by his son Stuart (Dana) and grandsons, Jonathan, Alex, Jacob and Will, and his son Jeffrey (Dori) and grandson Daniel. Larry was a devoted husband, wonderful father and doting grandfather. His five grandsons brought him true joy. Known throughout his life as a genuine people person, his other greatest joy was being around people, always engaging people in conversation whether known to him or not, he found a great sense of accomplishment in helping others whether it was an accounting or personal problem, Larry was always first in line to lend a helping hand. Anywhere he travelled within Winnipeg and beyond, he was always greeted by people he knew. He was the Master of "working a room" and a distinguished story and joke teller. Larry will truly be missed by everyone who had the fortune of knowing him. Larry spent a wonderful five years at Boulton Retirement Residences, where he fully enjoyed each and every day. In 2013, he moved into the Simkin Centre, as he needed more care. The family is truly grateful for the outstanding care he received at Simkin Centre - Weinberg 1. Words cannot express our appreciation to the entire staff too numerous to mention, that treated our father with such respect, dignity and compassion. Thanks to Mort Shuster and Lisa Adelman for their daily companionship. Larry looked forward and enjoyed their visits each day. Larry was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We love you Dad.
