THERESA MARIE HIEBERT April 8, 2015 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed by her husband Dan, daughters Erika and Kristin (Kyle), grandson Aidan, and dear friends, Nancy and Adrian. She will also be remembered by her brothers Michael (Shelley), Leslie (Michelle), Allan, Mervin, and sisters Sandra (Barry), Christa (Jon), sister-in-law Patti (Peter), brother-in-law Darrell, and many nieces and nephews. Theresa had a passion for life, enjoying music and singing, travelling, gardening, working on the family quilt, and spending time with her family, especially her grandson. Our comfort comes with knowing she is at peace. The family wishes to thank the staff of 7A South at St. Boniface Hospital. Dr. Hardy and her colleagues, the nurses and staff gave her loving care and comfort that made her time more bearable and was greatly appreciated. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14 at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St. A private family interment has taken place. For those who wish to make donations in lieu of flowers, these will be graciously accepted at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation of Manitoba, 304-1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4C6 or to the Faith Lutheran Memorial Fund for music.

  • Hi Dan, I was so sorry to read of Theresa's passing. Even in the few days I cared for Theresa I grew to know you both well. I could see how full of life and hope Theresa was despite the difficult news. The relationship I saw between the two of you was one of so much fun and love - one I will remember for a long time. I still hope to make it to the resort in Mexico she recommended to me! I will be thinking of you both when I'm there. All the best to you. - Posted by: Erin ((Nurse at St. B 6th floor)) on: May 29, 2015

  • Dear Dan and family, My sincerest condolences to you all. Theresa and I met in choir at Faith Lutheran Church. We lost touch with one another these past few years, but I will always remember her as a beautiful, kind person with a twinkly sense of humour and a great understanding of what makes people tick. I'm so sorry that she has been called home so soon. She believed strongly in angels. When I once told her that I was worried about my son's "lead foot" on a family road trip, she led a group prayer invoking angels to guide my son's car. My son, driving highway speed, fell asleep at the wheel on that trip and miraculously woke up just in time to steer out of the ditch. My husband and I watched from a car length behind - heart in our throats. Thank you angels. Thank you, Theresa. You're with your own kind now. Singing with the angels. - Posted by: Virginia Page Jahne (friend) on: Apr 25, 2015
