Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN NEALE FEIR June 13, 1920 - April 15, 2015 Doreen Neale Feir (nee Wortley), widow of Gordon Feir (deceased 1991), passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. Doreen is survived by her three sons: Dennis (Pat), Brian (Dolores) and Neil (Cathy); six grandchildren: Barbara (Bill Johnson), Geordie, Michael (Sarah), Daniel (Allison), Nancy (Eric) Froystad and Jeffrey (Larissa); five great-grandchildren: Vega, Ava, Amia, Aleah and Dani; and sister Kae Lambert of Woodstock, Ontario. Following a brief clerical career at Great West Life, Mom was a devoted housewife and spent many hours keeping track of her three boys. As a senior, Mom earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg. Before Gord's passing in 1991, Mom and Dad travelled worldwide. Doreen was well known for her extensive volunteer work at SMD, Lord Robert's School, the International Centre, Central Park Lodge, and most notably, for her Sunday visits to the Shriners' Hospital for children with disabilities where she was known as the "games lady". Mom was also a faithful member of the St. Alban's Church Auxiliary where she used her sewing skills to benefit church teas and fundraisers. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held. Special thanks to the staff at Riverwood Square and Charleswood Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba (200-6 Donald Street, R3L 0K6) or to a charity of your choice. Our thoughts are with you. We had the privilege of meeting Doreen when she was visiting her sister Kae in Ontario. They were either going on a trip or getting back from one. Both very amazing ladies and a pleasure to have met her. Thoughts and sympathy to your family. - Posted by: Bev and Jim Cummins (Friend) on: Apr 20, 2015

Auntie Doreen, we remember you with a smile in our hearts and some sweet memories of berry picking and visits with Grandma (Kae). I did not know you as The Games Lady, but I wish I had! Much love and sympathy to your family. - Posted by: Christopher, Jody & Sadie Lambert (Great Nephew & Family ) on: Apr 20, 2015
