MARGARET ROSE CONWAY (MACRAE) July 25, 1932 - April 4, 2015 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, GG, and sister on April 4, 2015, at the age of 83, or, in Margaret's own words, "As old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth!" Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband, Jim Conway in 1985. She leaves behind her children Gregory (Emy), Carole Anne, her grandchildren, Ashley (Stacey) Katie (Alex) Megan and her great-granddaughter Layla, as well as her sister, Shirley Wilson and niece Kathy MacRae, and her loyal companion Mugzy, among many other loved ones and friends. Margaret was born July 25,1932 in Wawota Saskatchewan. In 1934 she and her family moved to Swan River, where they lived until 1942 when they moved to Winnipeg. Margaret liked to say, "You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl." While Margaret enjoyed many glamorous moments, from times working at the Manitoba Legislative Building to volunteering for the Professional Engineers Wives Club of Manitoba, she has always been a down-to-earth country girl at heart, approachable and friendly, with a warm smile for all who crossed her path. Margaret kept in touch with friends from her early years. She always said she was very fortunate to have travelled with Jim to England, Scotland and throughout Europe. After Jim passed, Marg's friends included her in their gatherings and travels; many winters were spent in Florida with special friends, making memories that have been cherished long after. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held with immediate family. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Boniface Hospital and at Grace Hospice, as well as close family and friends for their loving support. For those who wish to recognize and remember Marg, please direct any donations to CancerCare Manitoba. "Do not mourn me, for I have not left you. Look into the eyes of my family And you will find me there."
