STEVE BALLAN January 10, 1922 - April 19, 2015 Steve passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 93. Steve leaves to mourn his passing, sons Randy, Garry (Debbie), Vernon and David, grandson David, great-grandsons Kaiden and Christian, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Lena, son Joseph (at infancy), his parents Moysej and Maria, sisters Anna, Pauline, Anastasia, Natalie, Victoria and Melinda, brothers Peter, John, Bill and Nestor. Steve was born in Rosa, Manitoba. He and Lena farmed in Carlowrie, Manitoba until they moved the family to Winnipeg in 1966, where he worked at Aetna Roofing until his retirement. Steve enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially playing cards with family and friends. He spent many hours listening to hockey on the radio or watching the games on T.V. The family would like to thank staff at Riverview for their compassionate care; a special thank you to Kelly who called often to give updates on dad. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Rosa Ukrainian Catholic Church, Rosa, Manitoba. Interment to follow.
