NATALIE KOPP On April 19, 2015 at the age of 91, Natalie Kopp (nee Ehmann) went gently into the arms of her Lord and Saviour. "Talla" was born to Nathalia and Alexander Ehmann on January 6, 1924 in Dzierzaznia, Poland, and was raised by her grandparents, Pauline and Martin Sems. Natalie came to Canada in 1948, and on April 10, 1948 married Arthur Kopp (who passed on September 17, 1996). They settled on a farm in Westbourne, Manitoba, where Natalie lived for over 75 years. Natalie will be forever loved by her son Henry Kopp and his wife Helen, her daughter Margaret Kopp, her grandchildren Kerry Magwood, Chris and Allyson Kopp, Tarin and Mike Hinchey, and by her great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Tylan Magwood, and Nicholas and Brett Kopp. Natalie was a hard worker who loved gardening, cooking, knitting and crocheting and shared these gifts with many. But, what was most important in her life, were her faith and her family. Natalie was an active member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Portage la Prairie for over 50 years. She cherished her family, and in her high esteem there were no children more beautiful, more intelligent or more talented than her great-grandchildren, who brought her the greatest delight. We feel so blessed to have shared Easter dinner just a week ago, which Natalie lovingly prepared for her family as she had done for so many years. Natalie was able to enjoy her last years in Winnipeg, still living in a home, with her daughter, and maintaining her remarkable independence. Thank you to the Winnipeg Paramedic Service and the Emergency Staff at Grace Hospital for your kind and compassionate care of Natalie. A funeral service will be held at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Portage la Prairie on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Sincere sympathy to you Maggie, thinking of you at this time of sorrow. - Posted by: Claudette Nault (former co-worker) on: Apr 22, 2015

  • Growing up without ever knowing her mother, Natalie was loved and raised by her maternal grandparents. Being a spunky little red head she brought a lot of joy to her 10 year old aunt and her older uncles whom she considered her sister and brothers. As a young lady during the war years she experienced many terrors as her family fled their ancestral home in Poland and then lived as poor refugees in Germany. She was blessed to find a new home in Canada and blessed by her marriage to Arthur and blessed with children and grand and great grandchildren. - Posted by: Rudy and Janet Sems (Cousin) on: Apr 22, 2015

  • My deepest condolences to Margaret, Henry, Helen and family. I am happy to read that your mom continued to live a very independent life into her 90's. I know she will be dearly missed but her memories will live on in your hearts forever. - Posted by: Bernice Carlson (Sapinski) (Family friend) on: Apr 22, 2015
