MARY ELIZABETH LOOKER (CARR) 1936 - 2015 It is with great sadness that we say farewell to Mary. After as short battle with cancer, Mary passed away at the Victoria Hospital with her family by her side on April 21, 2015. Mary was born January 10, 1936, and grew up in St. Thomas, Ontario, where she met and married her sweetheart Earl Looker (deceased). Their family grew and in 1972, they moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mary worked many different jobs, but finally found her calling when she became a foster parent. She loved doing this as she had a big heart. She was there to help anyone and everyone who needed help. Her hobbies were knitting and puzzle books. She was always knitting baby outfits, socks, mitts, hats and scarves. Her last few years, she lived with her granddaughter, Colleen Laroque and family. She leaves to mourn her children, Marie and Tarry Groves, Eileen and Rick Funk, Linda and Gerald Gardy, Nancy Kotyk, Jim and Sophie Looker, Susan Looker, Brian and Lori Looker, Ken and Leann Looker and brother Bill and Laurie Carr, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Earl, son Tom, daughter Barbara, parents and her siblings. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service is at Zion Apostolic Church, 305 Machray Ave., on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
