JAMES JOSEPH GEORGE KNIGHT "Jim" passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at Riverview Care Home. A memorial service was held for close family on Friday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m., Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home & Cemetery. Jim was born May 23, 1926 to James and Daisy Knight in Wandsworth, London, UK. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara and two children, Deborah, and James with his wife Maureen and grandson James. In his youthful days, Jim was a singer with a big band, performing throughout the clubs in London. His natural charm and talent made him very popular. Working the Tote for a number of years, before changing careers and working on the London Underground Transit, until retiring. Jim with his wife, then became business owners, working until their second retirement. Jim finally came to rest in Winnipeg with his family at his side. Jim will always be remembered as a loving and caring family man. His smile and charm captured all our hearts. He will be sadly missed. A special thank you to all the care workers at Riverview Care Home, your care, compassion and friendship will always be remembered.
