WILLIAM C. IRISH Peacefully, after a brief illness, on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the age of 92 years. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife Barbara, son Richard, grandchildren Jessica and Andrew, sister Elizabeth, and stepchildren Susan, James and Lesley. He was predeceased by his daughter Maureen in 2008. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Bill was an active and engaged parent and community member. He practiced law until his retirement at the age of 71. Upon retirement, Bill and Barbara relocated to Vancouver Island, firstly to Nanoose Bay and then finally, to Victoria. Bill had a keen and curious mind, a playful sense of humour and a generous spirit. He was fair-minded, ethical and without judgment of others. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. Special thanks to Amy and Arnel for their loving care of Bill. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends may consider donating to a charity of their choice.
