WILMA MCGILVRAY August 18, 1929 - April 25, 2015 Wilma McGilvray passed away on April 25, 2015 at the Victoria General Hospital. Wilma was predeceased by her husband Don in 2003, her mother and father, and her brother Wallie. She leaves to cherish her two sons William, and Robert (Laura Penner), four grandchildren Lisa (Jay), Colby (Margaux), Alex (Brittany) and Taylor (John), her great-grandchild Cohen, as well as numerous friends, family, nieces and nephews. Wilma was born in Marchwell, Saskatchewan and moved to Langenburg in 1939. She came to Winnipeg in 1948 and worked at F.W. Woolworths until she retired in 1995. Wilma married Don in 1951 and was a member of Beautiful Saviour Lutheran Church. She loved spending many summers at the cottage in Ponemah Beach. Family was very important to her and she was looking forward to meeting two more great-grandchildren arriving very shortly. The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and the staff at the Victoria General Hospital. A small memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beautiful Saviour Lutheran Church, 1541 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2M 3V8 or to a charity of one's choice.
