Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON EDWARD TURLAND After a courageous battle, it is with deep regret we announce the passing of Gordon Edward Turland on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the age of 75 years. Gordon is survived by his wife, Hilda; sons and families and his daughter's family; Michael and Margaret MacMillan and Dave and Virginia Turland; as well as nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his friend Mike; and his many friends in Middlesbrough, England. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Reg; daughter Patricia; and grandson Jeffrey. For several years, Gordon was in the Army Reserves. His working career was with Canada Post as a letter carrier. He was held in high regard by his co-workers. Dad and Mom loved to travel and had many excursions to England. Gordon loved to golf, and spent his retirement years at the 17 Wing Golf Course daily. Dad enjoyed watching sporting events. In his younger years he was a top notch speed skater and hockey player. On Friday, May 8, 2015, Gordon's Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in ANAVETS, 3584 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. We would like to extend a special thank you to the Seven Oaks Hospital ICU for their outstanding care. We would also like to thank Cancer Care/Home Care in St. Boniface Hospital.
