HILMAR ARNO WERSCHLER Hilmar Arno Werschler, better known as Butch, was born in Shellmouth Municipality to Aldolphe Werschler and Eleanora Ohlinger. Butch fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2015, 21 years and 8.5 hours following the passing of his wife Isobelle at the age of 87 years. Butch attended school in Inglis, and worked for various businesses including those owned by Frank Clement, Edgar Mensch and Robie Ziprick. In 1953, Butch married Isobelle Souter from Roblin, MB. Butch and Isobelle were blessed with six children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They owned and operated the Inglis Locker Plant for 35 years. It was during Butch's years in the store, that he introduced every child in the store to either Rosebuds or Icy Squares. Butch enjoyed fishing in both winter and summer. He also kept busy with various woodworking projects and made certain that his family and friends each had a memento of his woodworking hobby. He also enjoyed harvest season, and spent many hours helping with the harvest activities at Jackson's farm as well as Phylis and Jack's farm. Winter kept Butch busy attending hockey games, watching curling and building jigsaw puzzles. Butch resided in Inglis for all but 8 years of his life. He was living in Roblin at the time of his passing. Dad's last few days were pleasurable ones for him. He spent time at the farm with Phylis and Jack, while working towards getting his truck back on the road. On Friday, Dad prepared his favourite meal for what was to be his final one.
