Brent was predeceased by his grandparents Bud and Lal Grassie and Joyce, Orris and Connie Steinburg. Brent was born and raised in St. James and graduated from Silver Heights Collegiate in 1994. As a young adult his love of snowboarding, nature, the ocean and the mountains led him to the West Coast where he has lived the past 15 years. While in Burnaby B.C. he attended college and earned a Masters degree in Recording Arts. Brent was a gifted musician, artist and writer and touched the lives of so many with his gentle, kind soul. A gathering of family and friends has taken place in Vancouver. A celebration of Brent's life will take place in Winnipeg on Sunday, May 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Bourkevale Lawn Bowling Building, 90 Ferry Road. Brent loved all animals. • My deepest condolences to the entire Grassie family and numerous loved ones. Brent, it doesn't seem like it's hit me yet. We had such a stretch of time where we hadn't seen each other. I want to thank you for reconnecting with me and spending these months being each others shoulder and protected friend. I wish we could have had more time together. I always felt such a connection to you that never left my side. I have felt comfort knowing you are in a peaceful place and are watching down on all of us. I won't say goodbye, because I never did. You will always be in my heart. Love you, kid. xoxo - Posted by: Jessica (Friend) on: May 20, 2015
