Date of Passing: May 02, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAGDOLNA KARACSONY It is with deep sadness that our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was called home May 2, 2015 with her family by her side. Maggie was born in Hungary but fled to Canada in 1956 during the Hungarian revolution. She settled in Winnipeg and went about the business of raising her family. Mom was our matriarch, the backbone and the foundation of our family - she did everything with passion, spirit and feistiness. Her life was simple and she enjoyed gardening, bird watching, watching western movies, going to bingo, cooking and baking. Her cabbage rolls, jam jams and poppy seed rolls were family favourites. Her family carries on her legacy: children: Bill and Candy, Tom and Liz, Martha and Allan, Eva and Ron and Irene; grandchildren: Sean, Elizabeth, Cherena, Alexandra, Fawna, Theresa, Sheena, Amy, Robbie and Danielle, Christopher and Kristin, Terence and Tricia, Leah, Bradley and Aaron; and great-grandchildren: Jenine, Matthew, Nicole, Areanna and Aiden. Predeceased by her husband Jeno, son Steve, and the love of her life Jake. We are celebrating her life on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg.
