Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAXIE (MAX) MELNYK October 13, 1933 - May 2, 2015 It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather Max Melnyk on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Heritage Lodge, at the age of 81 years. Remaining to cherish Max are his wife of 54 years, Roxy; daughter Sandra (Ben); grandson Sacha of Campbell River, British Columbia; son Donald of Winnipeg; brother-in-law Walter Yarish; sisters-in-law Sylvia Yarish, Joan Yarish, Phyllis Horbal, Elsie Yarish and Diane Yarish; as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by parents, Mary and Abraham and two infant siblings. Max was employed by Manitoba Public Insurance for many years and enjoyed his time at work. He also enjoyed sports and was involved in coaching baseball, hockey and Pop Warner Football. Divine Liturgy will be Celebrated on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt Street with Rev. Fr. Walter Klimchuk, presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Basil's Parish, 202 Harcourt Street, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3H3. My deepest condolences to the family. I worked for MPI with Max for several years and used to bump into him in the Westwood area occasionally.
