Raymond J Power..... At the 2014 PEI Power family reunion I was fortunate to have Maryann to myself (along with Salome and Nora}, for a whole afternoon of lunch and a whale watching outing in a boat. I am shocked and sad to hear about MaryAnn. I worked for her briefly at Buttercup Beauty Bar. I'll hold on to some great memories of her passion, dedication, kindness, and hard work. Even as the years moved on she would never fail to stop and catch up with me upon our encounters. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Michael (employee/friend) on: May 14, 2015

Yvonne, I am so incredibly sad for your loss. It has been many years since I've seen your precious Maryann. She used to come to my home for before and after school daycare, where she played with my two children, Amy and Scott. She was beautiful and gentle and fun to have around. I know she meant the world to you. The loss of a child leaves a heartache no one can heal....Love leaves the memory no one can steal. My thoughts and prayers are with you. - Posted by: Chris Carpenter (Daycare Provider) on: May 14, 2015

Rest in Peace Maryann. I had the pleasure of meeting Maryann when she opened Buttercup Beauty Bar beside us on Academy Road. She was such a warm, kind person and what I remember most about her is how she treated her employees. She was always looking out for them. If she didn't have enough hours to give them, she would call me to see if I needed help or if I knew of someone. I also remember working with her at a golf tournament in the pouring rain and Maryann still looked beautiful and so put together. You should be proud of raising such an amazing soul. I am very sorry for your loss and I wish the family peace and strength during such a difficult time. - Posted by: Michelle Lalonde (business acquaintance) on: May 14, 2015

Maryann took me under her wing and taught me a lot. I was growing up and sometimes stubborn as her employee but she saw the potiental and helped me. She was a role model for me and I loved her attention to detail...she always did everything with 110% and demanded perfection from herself. Sending lots of love to the family.
