It was a pleasure knowing you Ernest..our card games in Brandon with dad and my brothers bring back great memories. Your hearty laugh, and your penchant for a good card game were a treat. I have a special bond for you and your Bonnefoy family. Thank you for coming into our lives. - Posted by: Denis Letain (Friend) on: Jul 13, 2015

Alice, Jeanette, Lucille, Monique, Michele, Denis, Roger and Doris, my heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you. I never did meet Ernie's second family but my sympathies go out to them as well. I have so many fond memories of Ernie from our visits in Makinak to the time when he arrived in Brandon with his family from Quebec (Saint-Felicien?). We shared many laughs(Ti-Gus et Ti-Mousse),a few beverages, many great meals prepared by your Mom, hunting and fishing with Jean Leduc and who can forget all the good times we had on the golf course. We both sucked at it equally so we were well matched. Those were wonderful days and wonderful memories and I felt like a third son (couldn't get rid of me) and loved hanging out at your house with your Dad and with all the kids. (Beatles sing alongs?) Thought of everyone many many times and wish we could have kept in better touch. Just noticed his obituary late Friday or else I would have tried to make the trip in to St Claude. R.I.P. Ernie my friend! - Posted by: Fred Letain (family friend) on: May 19, 2015
