Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN HAYKA FEBRUARY 25, 1923 MAY 11, 2015 Peacefully after a brief illness; it is with deep regret that we announce the death of our father on Monday, May 11, 2015 in Winnipeg at the age of 92 years. Remaining to forever cherish John's memory are his daughters Maryann Dick, and Rose Anne Rempel (George); grandson David Dick (Sarah); great-grandchildren Emily and Reese Dick; Sister Millie Lefko and Brother Tony Hayka (Jocelyn); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Jean; father and mother, Peter and Mary Hayka; sister Anne Wiebe; brothers Bill and Steve Hayka, and son-in law Bill Jacques. Dad always loved God's beautiful creation, and based on his own spirituality chose the simplicity of farming. He also had a passion for horses and used them to work his land. He retired from farming at age 88. A Service of Remembrance celebrating John's life will be held on Friday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. in the Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue (corner of Mt. Royal and Ness Avenue). Special thanks to Dr. Rehsia and the nursing staff at the Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Living Church of God, P.O.
