I had the joy of getting to know Myrtle for a year or so. I was one of the many who took care of her. To me she was more than a resident she was like a grandma. Along the way I had the privilege of getting to know her amazing kids and some grandkids. I miss walking into her room and her saying good morning lovey, honey lamb and my favorite sunshine. We learned so many things from each other, I even taught her how to use her ipad and took her first selfie with me :) she was always so grateful and appreciative. I still catch myself thinking of her when I am at work wanting to go in her room and tease her. You will be missed. Love always, Janelle aka your sunshine - Posted by: Janelle (her sunshine :) ) on: May 19, 2015

Mom, you taught me to be kind to others, to take pride in what I do and to do it to the best of my ability, to consider the needs of others as well as myself. You were the glue that held our family together and none of us ever had occasion to doubt your love. I will feel that love around me for the rest of my life. I miss you every day. - Posted by: Gaye Keep (daughter) on: May 19, 2015

Myrtle was my Dad's first cousin. The family didn't keep in touch much so I'm sorry to say I rarely met anyone on that side of the family though I did meet Dad's Uncle Fred at Heather Andrews' wedding years ago. My Uncle said Myrtle was a wonderful singer and that she sang at my Aunt Vi's wedding. What lovely tributes submitted by others. I wish I could have met her! My condolences to your family for your loss. - Posted by: Kelly Ericson (Great niece???) on: May 18, 2015

My deepest sympathy in the loss of your beautiful Mother. I met Myrtle through my sister Carole. She was a loving lady and sure could bake! I always bought all her goodies from the Grant Park bake sales. May all the love you shared with your Mom remain in your hearts forever. - Posted by: Thora Meade (Friend) on: May 18, 2015

Had the privilege of knowing Myrtle ("Flossie"!) for nearly 25 years. She was fiercely loyal, fiercely Canadian and fiercely loved! So many treasured memories of her trips to Toronto/Cobourg. Laughter, political debate and lots of wine! She will be dearly missed. - Posted by: Don Mitchell (Friend) on: May 16, 2015

We send our condolences to the entire family and say to you she is in a far better place. We will fondly remember our many times together at family gatherings, homes, and especially the lake. She was a jewel that spark plugged a conversation and she will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace Myrt. Love, Irish, Pat, & Gordy - Posted by: Norm & Pat Norris (Friends) on: May 16, 2015
