Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKEITH ELDON CHRISTIANSON November 10, 1954 April 17, 2015 It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Keith Christianson on Friday, April 17, following a brief and sudden episode. He was a kind and gentle man, and many friends, co-workers and family had the opportunity to share their goodbyes to send him off in peace while in MICU at Health Science Centre. Keith was born in Deloraine and raised in Coatstone where his father was the grain elevator operator. He was a precocious toddler and his academic acuity served him well through school. In 1973 he, and his mother, moved to Winnipeg to live with his brother, Wayne and where he attended the University of Winnipeg along with Mrs. Chrisitanson's "third" son Tony McGill. Keith started working at Canada Post to put himself through school. He completed an Arts degree in Calculus and German where he won the gold and silver medals for academic achievement; and a Science degree in Physics and Chemistry where he won the Gold in both majors. He continued his career with Canada Post for 43 years and had not yet retired. He loved the social life that the Post Office provided and established many life-long friendships with his fellow "Posties". Working part time allowed him time to pursue other interests such as Philosophy, Religion and Chess. Keith travelled to England several times and to Norway where he has ancestral ties, and enjoyed road trips to visit relatives across the prairies and into B.C. He enjoyed tea on the porch, alternative movies at Cinema 3, meeting with friends for breakfast, Coronation Street, Pinky and the Brain, and many other activities. Keith was predeceased by his brother Glenn in 1948, father Peter in 1965, mother Selena (nee Harlton) in 1999, and brother Wayne in 2007. He leaves behind many cousins and friends to mourn his loss, and to celebrate the way in which he touched our lives. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23 at the Khartum Shriner's Centre, 1155 Wilkes Rd.
