MARGARET YEDON Peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Poseidon Care Centre, Margaret Yedon passed away with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her father Phillip, mother Malida, brothers Phillip, Arthur, Edward and Frederick, and sisters Mrs. G.P. Smith (Kay) and Mrs. Freda Lang. Aunt Marg will be lovingly remembered by her nephew Dennis Lang and his wife Consorcia (Sorsie). Born in Winnipeg in 1926, she lived on St. John's Avenue for 85 years and worked for many years in the garment trade as a seamstress. Her love in life was gardening and taking care of her pet cats, many of whom she took in as abandoned pets. She was very devoted to her parents and lived with them until their passing. In her later years she was an avid fan of hockey and Canadian football and enjoyed attending original Jets and Manitoba Moose hockey games with her nephew. Special thanks to the entire 3rd floor staff at the Poseidon Care Centre for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place and a private family service has been held with Rev. Bruce Martin officiating. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made in Margaret`s memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of choice.
