GINI LAUDER OSINSKI It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gini Lauder Osinski, on January 6, 2015, beloved wife of the late Ken Osinski; sister of Allan Lauder and Rick Lauder (Corrine), Uncle Bill Milner and Aunt Sheila Milner; cousins, Bill Milner, Jr., John Milner, John (Eve) Lauder, Scott Lauder, Bruce (Jane) Lauder, Andrew (Ailsa) Lauder, Rod Lauder and Karen Kaplen. Ann Ledger was one of her closest friends. Gini was the daughter of the late Drew (Muriel) Lauder and the late Kaye (Bunn) Milner (Lauder) Minions. Others left to mourn her passing are her niece Alissa; nephews, Rick Lauder, Jr. and Andrew Lauder and many other friends and relatives. Gini was born in 1950 and lived in Winnipeg most of her life. She grew up in the St. James area and graduated from St. James Collegiate. She received an Arts Degree from the University of Manitoba and a Certificate in Applied Counselling also from the U. of M. She later went on to study theology. Gini had a strong faith and managed to keep her sense of humour despite her many health difficulties. Gini loved animals and thought of them as her children. She was a foster mother to a number of dogs and cats, and ended up adopting several of them throughout her lifetime. In 2009, she married the love of her life, Ken Osinski. Gini and Ken spent a couple of winters in Arizona and one winter in Port au Prince where they were able to enjoy the warm weather and sunshine. She was predeceased by her husband Ken, who passed away on September 25, 2014. In honour of Gini's spirit, we suggest that you wear something colourful to the memorial service if you wish. A memorial service for Gini will be held at Augustine United Church, 444 River Avenue, on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gini's memory to Darcy's Arc, the MS Society or a charity of your choice.

  • I miss my friend - I miss her vibrant spirit and her crazy personality - hence my pet nickname for her - Spinny Gini. She would laugh hysterically when I called her that! I miss that laugh. She had a heart of gold and was such a loyal friend. Rest in Peace sweet Gini❤️ - Posted by: Jan Hetherington (Close friend) on: May 30, 2015
