Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKIMBERLY MAE DEWALD (nee LAWSON) March 22, 1957 - May 24, 2015 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kim Dewald on May 24, 2015. Kim is survived by her husband Bill, her sons Steven (Michelle), Alex (Jessica), daughter Heidi, grandchildren Christopher, Katie and Salem, mother Iris, brothers Dennis (Judith) and Randy (Cheryl), as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Glen. Kim was an amazing wife, mother, sister, daughter and nanny. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Nanny loved spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren, preparing family dinners, and listening to music. She was known for her dedication to her family, kindness, and sense of humour. We would like to thank the excellent staff at the St. Boniface Palliative Care unit for their support over the past week. In following with Kim's wishes no formal service will be held. I met tou in the 90's having fun with your friends and we became friends I saw you raise your children and the love you had for all I lost contact years ago.... busy with me You were always remembered fondly any time i drove past your home You shared your yard and pool with me We partook of beverages and partyed till the wee hours of the morning I derw a portrait on the wall of your studio you kept downtown.... that was fun You always were kind and generous I only found out today that you are no longer with us I was there then you first started your surgeries and your slow recovery I expected you would be the anchor Be where whenever i needed a shoulder You were a friend Condolences to the family Miss you Peace. - Posted by: Cassidy (Friend ) on: Oct 03, 2017

I have just recently heard the sad and shocking news. My little cousin Kim, who was always there with a smile on her face at family gatherings, I can't believe you are gone. Randy, Cheryl & Family - So very sorry to hear about the loss of your Sister, Kim. Our deepest sympathy and special thoughts during this most difficult time for all of you. It is hard to lose a sister so young - she should have had many happy years ahead to watch her grandchildren grow up. For my dear and amazing old friend Kim ....It was so sad to hear that you were battling cancer once again . I was pulling for you and hoped that you would beat it down. But i knew the last few times we talked that the challenge was more than getting out of hand for you. You were an incredible Mom & Nanny. You helped me with valuable advice about raising my own babies and I couldn't have asked for a better friendship with a deeper connection. You were truly it. Even through our ups and downs there was never awkward silence. I never told you ; you were like a special kind of sister. When I saw you at Riverview it broke my heart ,the feistiest ,craziest go-getter that I knew was looking defeated. You were a courageous warrior and I was grateful to see your smile that you managed for me even through all of the pain . I will miss you so much . Rest in peace sweetie , I love you and thank you for enriching my life in many ways. More than many know. I will never forget you and you will always have a special place in my heart.
