Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILY (BETTY) ELIZABETH NEWPORT June 21, 1923 - May 21, 2015 Peacefully, on Thursday, May 21, 2015, our aunt Betty passed away at Tuxedo Villa at the age of 91 years. Betty is survived by her sister Ruth Reynolds; many nieces and nephews. She will be especially missed by her nieces Carol (Murray) Taylor and Darlene (Roger) Moreau and their families. She was predeceased by her loving husband Aubrey in 1997; brother Wilfred Clavet and sister Rita Stark. Born to Nellie and Wilfred Clavet in Port Arthur, Ontario, Betty moved to Winnipeg as a teenager with her family. She worked at the Bay and Manitoba Telephone before marrying in 1966. Betty will be remembered for her love of gardening, her generosity, sense of humour and love of shopping. In compliance with Betty's wishes there will be no service. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of Tuxedo Villa for all of their care and understanding.
