KENNY OKALUK We sadly regret to announce Kenny's unexpected passing at the Concordia Hospital on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the age of 62 years. Kenny was born on July 16, 1952, the second eldest son of Vicki and the late Mike Okaluk. He is survived by brothers Jim (Shelley), Roy (Bernice) and Rick (Julie). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces Richelle, Meaghan and Kristyn, and nephews Morghan, Kyle and Cody. Kenny grew up on Charles Street in the North End. His lifelong career in autobody repair and car painting began by working with his dad at Community Chev Olds on Main and Redwood. He went on to work at Vickar Autobody and Glass on Regent Avenue for many years until shortly before his passing. He always took great pride in his work. Kenny enjoyed watching a good game of football or hockey on TV but fly out fishing was one of Kenny's favourites. Not that he caught many fish but he loved to talk about the good times spent with his brothers and friends. His favourite meal to cook was fried pork chops. There were many times those chops turned out burnt due to the "short" nap on the couch. Kenny had a kind heart and loved his nieces and nephews. No one will ever forget when Santa came to Baba and Gigi Okaluk's house on Christmas Eve. That Santa was no other than Uncle Kenny. Interment has taken place. This summer a Celebration of Life will be held in Kenny's memory with family and close friends.
