Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA JANCHENKO 1932 - 2015 On the morning of June 7, 2015, Maria passed away peacefully at the age of 82. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she is survived by her children Anastasia (Barry), Natalia (Arnie), Anna, Vera (Elia), and Maria; grandchildren Larissa, Nikolai, Maximilian, Julia, Alexander, and Sofia; and sisters Valia, Lida, Nadia, Vera, and Sophie. Prayers will be at Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection, 732 Alfred Avenue on Tuesday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m. also at the church on Wednesday, June 10 with Father Raphael Vereshack officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044

Maria, the oldest of 7 girls. Maria took me to my appointments when I was little, and I think of that. Visiting her when my 2 oldest nieces were born, Tess and Natasha at her home and watching the love and care she gave to them. Maria was a thoughtful, generous and a very "tough little soul", which I believe was a great quality. We never think about these things until they are gone, but Maria you will never be forgotten, and well remembered for all she had done.
